dont normally dive in to the motoes section. But i have a 55 reg cheverlet kalos 1.2 pile of poo.
Driving down the A1 today aircon on there was a noise of a slippig belt screetching a puff of smoke and a smell of burning rubber. So pull over open bonet have a look around and i couldnt see anything missing not that i know much but the fan belt was still there. since i had fokes in car and there was no lights on and temp gauge seamed ok i though id carry on to see how far i could get some reason i turned aircon off, drove to destination taking it easy and everything seamed ok.
Get parked up everything ticks over untill i turn air con on and it cuts the engine off. drove home with out it on and again everything seams ok.
for some reason i cant see where a belt would be for the aircon or anything missing at all. where should i be looking ?
Will i be causing any damage driving it?
How much do you thinkim looking at ?
