Hi there,

I know that some members of this board are into their aircraft so i wondered if any of them did aircraft modelling?

I am thinking of getting a few kits to put together during my lunch break instead of reading a book. However im not sure if i should get some 1/72 kits or 1/48 kits. Which is best?

There seem to be loads of kit manufacturers out there but which is the better one to go for, the ones i have come accross are:-

Airfix
Revell
Academy
Hasegawa
Italeri

Any help would be appreciated, so thanks in advance

www.finescalemodeler.com is quite a good site

The size depends on what space you have i guess, if you have the room i'd go for the 1/48 scale.
Some companies do better kits than others and a lot of places do aftermarket parts to make them more accurate. Some people even combine parts from different kits.
I started looking into building the space shuttle, saturn V and other rockets but never found the time, started remodeling the house instead.
