Good to see this has happened. Walking into a model shop and not seeing an air-fix kit just doesnt seem right somehow!

Omg, I had that jump jet harrier in the small pic on that bbc url! Was in tears when the sodding left wing fell off days later :/

agreed, although i collect diecast models, its always good to see the plastic kits - used to build some when i was younger and used to love building them up (i would still love to build up kits) but im rubbish when it comes to painting them

Random useless info: Humbrol = Humber Oil.

If it's moving to Kent, will they rename it Med(way)oil?

Whats Medway got to do with it, apart from being in Kent? Hornby are based somewhere around Ramsgate (nowhere near medway).

I was just searching for your Tornado thread the other day but it's had the chop I think.

What model making forums do you visit and do you have a new model on the go now?

Hi mate

These days I hang out at ARC - Aircraft Resource Centre

I've had a few projects on the go since, this is the very old Matchbox 1/72 Handley page victor, complete with resin replacement air intakes - also I sanded off the raised panel lines and re-engraved them over the aircraft

Also this is the Airfix Lynx 1/72 - very small model, much improved with bits of styrene card and fusewire - sitting next to a tin of humbrol paint for size comparison.

...This lancaster is the Hasegawa 1/72 kit which I finished earlier in the year

Finally a shot of the Dambusters Tornado GR4 for ya :D
