hi, i currently own a cooler master 430 elite, and am trying to figure out the best layout for airflow i only have three fans. i have just spent the last hour doing some extreme cable management
now all the wires are out the way there is no wires at the bottom and plenty of room at the bottom for a fan.

currently i have:
Intake
- Front
- Side
Exhaust
- Back

i am wondering if i would get better airflow if i moved the intake on the side and move it to a intake on the bottom, im thinking this would create a smoother airflow as it will flow more natural from front to back.

You'll need to make your sig smaller - too big.

I'd say you'd be better with fan from bottom and front in and exhaust out the back, less conflicting air flow I'd say.

But why not just test it?

Something like HWmonitor will let you track temps, then it's just a case of seeing which one works better.

As kd says, only way to find out is to test. Bear in mind that there is no such thing as 'smooth' airflow through a case. About the best you can do is to try and get cool air coming in and warm air exhausting out. Take a note of your current temps, change the fan config and see whether it's any better. Good luck :)
