Just put my rig into a HAF X case.

Top Fan Blows Heat out
Front Sucks Cold Air in, put an extra fan to force cold air over GFX
Side Sucks Cold Air in

Am using a Corsair H50 to cool the CPU. On my old case i had Cold Air being sucked in over the radiator, this time i went for Hot Air Sucked out next to the radiator.

The reason for the change around was, I noctice the hot air being pumped out by the GFX was being sucked in via the Corsair H50.

Does this sound ok.

Have noticed the GFX temps down by 5 degrees.

Yer that is how it is supposed to be setup.

One of my friends always complained that all the temps on his hardware where fairly high, and putting his hand in the case felt warm too. Turns out he had turned the rear exhuast fan around becuase the case was in a small cuvvy hole in his desk, and he thought that hot air would be trapped their.

One thing he didn't account for was the hot air expelled by his GPU was just been drawn straight back in with absolutley no cold air at all.

One thing you may also try (I do it on many rigs I build for people) is to remove some of the PCI covering plates, and strap a 80mm or 120mm silent fan to the side of a GPU, this draws the cool air from the side fan of the case at an increased pressure and expells it rapidly out the back. On my 5970 I saw a 4c drop in idle temps and 7c at load. Worth £2.40 IMO.

Hope this helps
