AirPlay 2 : AVR Receivers

Hi,

So if I get a AVR Receiver with Airplay 2 can I use the AMP to connect to 2 x HomePod as say left/right channels ?

I think I see what you mean.

so what I could do is pair to HomePods in stereo from Apple TV and then use optical/hdmi out to feed AV receiver and use that to power Center/Sub/rear etc, can’t see why that wouldn’t work

OK yep seems to be a non starter, I already have 2 x HomePods so it was just an idea I was toying with, in fact just for general use in our snug (kitchen) 2x HomePods is fine
