I have bought an AE and connected it to my DAC via a TOSLink cable so I can listen to streamed audio on my HIFI seperates. I then want to Air Play Tidal HIFI from my wife's iPad to the AE. I have had a quick go this evening and have managed to stream a buffered track to the AE from the iPad, but I want the AE to also use my home WIFI network connection. When the iPad created the network it didn't seem to give an option to join the network.

So Air Play from iPad to AE while connected to home WIFI - how?

No-one has tried to add an AE to an existing wireless network?

Yeah, it should be really simple to do. I've got an old one that runs on the network fine. Though it's very old so it's hardwired as it didn't like newer encryption.

There should be a 'Join existing network' dialogue.

Open up AirPort Utility on the tablet connected to the AirPort, tap on the AP, tap edit, tap Network, and change the Wi-Fi mode at the top.
