Airport Extreme Update

Hi

I've today tried to install the 'Airport Extreme Update 2007-002', for an unknown reason it will not install?

A. Is this because i don't have the 'N' version of hardware on my Mac mini (intel version - purchased this month) or something else?
B. It states that when i try to install 'You cannot install Airport Extreme Update 2007-002 on this volume. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update'.

Any idea's please?

When you install updates, it should say below the update what it's for. My guess would be an 'n' update, but without knowing what the update is for then that would only be a guess.

Yes it's for the 'N' update, does the mac mini only have 'G' for the wireless hardware? It maybe that?

Ahh, yeah that will be it, the Mini doesn't yet have the 'N' wireless.

Yeah cheers, was just looking through the apple website and found that myself. Oh well.

I assume he's talking about the update you get with the Airport Extreme base station things that enables 802.11n on the n capable 802.11g models (if that makes sense!).. could be wrong though

I think he has a base station, I don't however.

Yeah that's what i was thinking of, and i thought a new mac mini (of late) would be updated with the 'N' component.
