Airport Utility - Not detecting Extreme/Express

I've just upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7. I've installed the Airport Utility but it isn't detecting either the Airport Extreme/Express. I can manually connect to them through the utility by entering the ip addresses and I can connect to the wireless network.

The problems are that itunes isn't detecting the Airport Express therefore making it redundant and the wireless internet connection keeps dropping internet connectivity. I'm using a Netgear WN111v2 USB adaptor to connect. It was all running smoothly on Vista but not now.

I have tried disabling the firewall (AVG) and restarting everything but still no luck. The internet will work fine for a few minutes then every page will fail to load for about a minute even though it is still connected the the airport network. Eventually is will just start working again or if you disconnect/reconnect it will too.

I really am stuck at this point so need help. If any more information is needed just ask.

It sounds like Bonjour isn't doing it's job. Apple Software Update should let you install it.

Hmm.. well ASU came up with no updates so i uninstalled the utility and installed an older version of it I have saved. After the install the utility detected the express but not the extreme. ASU then popped up saying there was an update which I installed and now it doesn't detect either again. I'm gonna reinstall the old version again and see if itunes picks up the remote speakers. The version I'm installing is v5.4.2, the one which it updates to (that doesn't work) is v5.5.1.

Edit:
even in the older version itunes wouldn't detect the remote speakers, it did however let me do the firmware update for the express. just doing that now, will see if it changes anything

If you search the Apple Downloads page you should be able to find Bonjour for Windows. It's being pushed for printer support, but it should help for finding the Airports.

I'll boot into win7 and see if it can find my Express, can't say that I've ever tried from within Windows :)
