AJP8 relaunched !

And still miles from it's published outputs too I suspect if far less fragine than the Speed 6! If TVR does come back and I'd like to see that, it needs to start with a clean sheet and some quality systems. Even during the Russians time it was fag packet manufacturing!

There is absolutely no way TVR will be resurrected in anything like it's previous forms. In a recent PH article it was said that because the production process was so fragmented and disorganised it would be impossible to restart production as all the staff know how was vital and had now been lost.

Very true. Melling said in the interview that most of TVR's production techniques were in the heads of its employees, not on paper. Meaning that unless they managed to scramble together almost all of the old workforce, they would have to completely start its production line again, redesigning its models.

I really, really wish Al had won the TVR auction :(

According to the stupidly eliteist and secretive TVR CC there is still somethings being worked on behind closed doors at TVR, with the designer of the Tuscan Ben someone heading up the current team. The Oxleys (universally detested in the TVR community) have left, and Nikolai resigned as director of the only active UK company in March of last year. There's now a german lawyer on the board of directors and nobody is really sure why!

Companies house verifies most of the info although still lists David Oxley on the board of directors, even though TVRCC members are dead certain he has left.

Basically nobody has any idea what is really going on outside of a few claimed insiders. It's a damn shame IMO :(

Peter Wheeler (former TVR owner) somehow owns a significant portion of the original Bristol Avenue factory and is building race cars with a striking resemeblence to the Sagaris there under the name GTF. The chasis look the same, the body is very, very similer with a slightly different nose, and they are using AJP8 engines. It's a TVR in all but name.

Anyway, awesome engine, such a noise! Absolutely stupidly light and compact as well for a V8. Al claims it to be the best weight to HP ratio of any NA engine out there

Al Melling lives in a special place called "The World of Melling". No one has ever been there, they have just heard about its massive vista's and fantastic engines of imense power. It's also home to all of the things that Al invented such as Air, Water, The Car, The Engine, Concorde and other such things. No question that man has some experience and some talent, but many of his launches and claims are to be taken with a pinch of salt if you ask me. Looks like a nice lump and he knows his engines but he also knows how to spin a line about "THE WOLRD OF AL!" ;)

If he ever manages to bring out the frankly stupid looking six litre quad turbo hellcat I'll be shocked.

I'm a tad more confident about the Wildcat as there may actually be a market for it, albeit not a large one. I actually think it looks quite good, even with the roof up.
