Hi All!

So my current office chair is, well, a disaster. It's just a cheap £50 job that i've had for around 4-5 years. It's broken, torn and has taken some serious punishment over the years due to multiple house moves.

Recently invested more time / money into my PC.. 1080, HTC Vive, Dual 27" Monitors (One Dell 144hz Gsync 1440p and one Dell IPS 1440p) etc.

It feels like i should invest a bit more in my chair than i normally do, especially the time i'm spending in-front of the PC.

I'm tall, 6ft3 and on the larger size. I looked at some YouTube videos on the AKRacing chairs, looking at at the AK Racing Premium V2 Gaming Chair Black & Silver:

Good buy? It's very difficult to know what to go for. I havent investigated other brands, will be buying from OCUK. I'm really open to any suggestion - providing its suitable for my height and larger build. Quality is primary concern, happy to spend more at around £300 if it gets me something leaps and bounds better.

noblechairs EPIC PU. Currently on offer at £299.99, in a different league to the AKRacing stuff. If you don't want to go for that end of the budget, the Vertagear SL-2000 would provide a better experience than the Premium too at around £209.99 inc VAT, although it lacks some refinement and build quality that the noblechairs EPIC series has.

It is really night and day with the noblechairs against the AKRacing? As i'm happy to spend the extra.

Also another query Chug. Obviously hard to miss the noble chairs thread and issues, if it is faultyy or needs replacement is the RMA delivery cost free, e.g: i wouldn't be out of pocket if I had to return it.

Only reason I ask, your guys CS is fantastic and defects can happen but always feel like you guys will sort it. Just wouldn't want to drop £300 on a chair that I then need to pay more on if problems arise. Tempted to buy the noble chair you recommended tomorrow morning.

As you can see from recent posts, the vast majority of the chairs are now without issues, but if anything does arise, we'll resolve it with finding you any further out of pocket.

Yes. AKRacing are really struggling with the likes of noblechairs, Vertagear and Nitro in the market now.

Thanks for your help.

I rung your sales line to also ask about the chairs.

All purchased and looking forward to it arriving tomorrow. Went for the Vertagear SL2000 you recommended in the end, this one:

Noblechairs looked great - but decided to start at the lower end of my budget first. May come to look at the noblechairs in store later and hand down the Vertagear one to my son.

Good choice, you should really like it!

Thanks.

Can i just say how nice it is that OCUK staff comment on these threads and also the chap i spoke to on the sales line was also really informative. It's that kind of sales and service that means i dont hunt for perhaps one cheaper from another retailer, like when i read in the noblechair thread you guys were going down to personally check chairs before sending if it was an RMA. I dont think i can name any other retailer that would do that kind of thing.

I asked him if it was his money, what would he go for. He was very honest and it definitely helped me in my purchasing decision. I'm sure i'll be back in another couple of months for a noblechair after my son moans at me to death to have my Vertagear.

Arrived yesterday and assembled today.

My dear old batter chair is finally being retired. He's been through multiple house moves, battered, stained and battered again.
