With the free postage I was thinking about getting an extra fan but a quiet one.

I was wondering what people thought about these?

Akasa AK-191-SM Smoke Ultra Quiet 120mm Fan - 3 pin

Thanks

I've got 2 in my antec 300, they are very quiet. The yate loon 120s shift more air though at the same price, just make sure you get the lower speed ones if you like peace and quiet!

Akasa 120 - Sound: 18.0 dB(A) - Air flow: 49.74 CFM
Yate Loon L - Sound: 28.0 dB(A) - Air flow: 47.00 CFM

Yate = less air + noisier??

also got 2 of the amber ones in an antec 900, one cooling the cpu and another on the graphics.

Have really good cooling and are very quiet.

Manufacturers are notorious for not giving true noise figures and cfm figures.

Yate Loons are one fan which are much, much quieter in real life compared to their official figures whereas other fans quite often work the opposite way.

Don't forget dBa can be recorded close to the fan or 1m away. I have always wondered why Yate Loons undersell themselves and I have a feeling their noise reading is taking from close to the fan whereas other manufacturers quote from 1m away.

I have both fans and on full I can honestly say I can here the Asaka whereas the Yate Loon is quiter.

In saying all of that, the "noise" is hardly loud on either of them.
