Dont Know if anyone can help me but today installed 2 apache blacks into my sytem 1 on the cpu cooler and replaced my back case fan purchased the akasa fan splitter to go with them so I could run both as PWM from the CPU fan header but the problem I have is both fans are running full out at 1300 all the time and cant get it to run any slower according to core temp im idling at 23 degrees MB im using is in my sig and the option is turned on.

Tried easy tune 6 to see if I could alter speeds manualy seems to have no effect so any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you use the PWM splitter, the fans must be all the same make, the cable with connect to the motherbroad goes to your CPU 4pin header and just run the Apaches of the splitter. Connect your case fan to a different header or PSU molex connector.

I think the lack of punctuation in the first paragraph doesn't help matters but I think Artus has only connected two Apache fans to the spliiter.

The Apaches are clearly getting their 12v power but it seems that they are not getting their PWM signal for whatever reason. This could be because of a couple of things:-

1) Bad connection from the motherboard PWM pin to each fan, I'd suspect if this were the case then it'll be close to the motherboard connector itself.

2) The motherboard is sending a 100% duty cycle to the fan.

Never had much luck with Easytune myself as it refused to retard the speed of my fans, however Speedfan did it with some success and just a little fiddling with settings it is now an automated process. Try Speedfan.

Thanks for the replies, and sorry for lack of punctuation i'm not normally that bad think I was just getting a bit worked up as I couldnt figure out what the problem was.
