akasa ak fc-03 fant controller thermal probes placement?

i'd welcome any advice on where to place the thermal probes that are part of the akasa ak fc-03 fan controller, please.

i'm installing it into an antec p180 case so i've got a total of 5 fans running, that's including the cpu and gpu fans.

cpu temp is around 39 degrees - goes up a bit with games and goes down when the central heating isn't on.

the purpose of the akasa fan controller is to just slooooooow things done a bit when i'd like things to be a bit quieter - it's not terrible now but it's not whisper quiet.

sorry, for rambling.

i'd just like general advice on what to do with the thermal probes - where abouts do i stick the one for the cpu to get the best reading - does it really matter?

are there any big do's and don'ts with this sort of fan controlling?

any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Stick the cpu temp probe on the side of the IHS, DO NOT STICK IT IN BETWEEN THE HEATSINK AND IHS!!!!!!
