Akasa Apaches and Q-Fan - Not Happy :(

I made sure the Apaches were backwards compatible with a 3 pin fan header. I've set up my whole new rig with 5 of them but if you enable any Q-fan setting in the Bios (P6TD Deluxe), even standard, the fans run at 200RPM and never speed up under system load. So now I have to run them all at full speed which is very loud rather then the silent I was hoping for.

Is there any way around this?

Get two of theese cable adapters and run them all via pwm.

This lets the 4 pin cpu header speed control 3 pwm fans such as the apaches, i use one of theese to control 3 pwm fans on a p6t dlx v2, though with 2 adapters you can run 5 fans.

Have you tried manually changing their speed in the bios? It might be a problem with Qfan?

You should just get a fan controller and hook them all up to that for much better control of their speed.
