I'm just about to order an Akasa Eclipse cos my current case is pap for cooling, and I wanna overclock my cpu some more :) But just wanted to check some things first. I was gonna get some Panaflo L1A 120mm fans, but noticed they have a 38mm depth compared to the 25mm it mentions in the Akasa description. Will they not fit in the eclipse then?

Also do you think the Thermally Advanced Side Panel would be beneficial for me? I don't plan on going sli or anything as I'm not really a pc gamer. But would it increase the ability to overclock my cpu?

I'm also getting the Akasa Fan Controller Pro but I keep reading conflicting information on what type of airflow is best to have - positive/negative. Should I make the intake or exhast fan faster?

Lastly I'll be changing the cpu cooler to a ThermalRight Ultra-120 as in the reviews I've seen it performs better than my current cooler. I've already got a Scythe S-FLEX 1600RPM Ultra Quiet 120mm Fan to use with it. But what would be the best way to postion the Ultra-120 and the Scythe fan to maximise cooling?

Apologies if these are some dumb ass questions but I'm still learning ;)

Cheers in advance

Billy

A panaflow will fit in the back but the front hdd rack is just big enough for a 25mm fan due to the angled alu that directs the airflow through the rack. You could easilly trim some off with a dremel though.

Hey,

Just brought this case thanks to peoples high opinions of it on here.

Have to say im really happy with it. Nice and big inside. I brought the clear side window version.

I have the Fan controller controlling all of my fans. At the moment im just playing around with the speeds but normally half way for both front and rear is a good compromise between sound and CFM. I have the Akasa 120mm Amber fans.

The fan on the front is quite tight, as said you wont be able to get and deeper fans in there.

Ok cool, I ended up ordering the thermally advanced side panel for mine as I couldn't wait any longer for some advice :p Also my Pentium D 950 gets quite toasty so hopefully it should keep my temps abit lower.
