Akasa Eclipse-62 - multiple HDD + airflow question

I want to have 3 HDDs in my case, however i'm not too sure as to where i should put them.
I have a floppy drive and 3.5" memory card drive in the 3.5" external slots, so placing one of the HDDs there is not an option.
There are 5 HDD slots underneath this part, and this is situated directly behind the 120mm front intake fan. So i was thinking, should i put on HDD at the top slot, and 1 at the bottom, so as to allow 3 slots of airflow space for the fan?
This would leave the problem of where to place the last HDD. It would obviously go into either one of the 3 remaining slots, or, should i put it into the extra 3.5" cage that hangs from the top?
I'm thinking that putting it into the extra cage would not hamper airflow as much as directly in front of the fan, but my worry is that it will be situated directly above the CPU fan (arctic freezer 64 pro, which is kinda big i'f i'm not mistaken).
So it'll get a good blast of constant heat, and also possibly reduce the efficiency of the CPU cooler.

I dont want to put it in front of the 120mm fan because it seems to me that it's air intake is already restricted, with the dust guard in place, and with the angled airflow slots on the front bezel.
From my experience of using fans (not computer related), if the airflow in behind the fan in blocked/narrower even slightly, the airflow won't be faster, instead there will be air blowing OUT from where it should be taking air in. (usually at the edges of the fan).

Any wise words? ^.^

Dont worry about blocking the fan, this is how the case was designed, it was originally a server case so is designed for a lot of HDD's. Youll notice the HDD cage has an angled piece of aluminium near the fan, this is to direct airflow over the hdds. Due to the slot type fixing holes you could set the hdd's forward a fair bit if your worried about blocking the airflow. Its true about the dust filter blocking airflow tho but id rather stop dust getting in that have abit more air, the less cleaning the better :) .

Thanks, i ended up placing one in the top, middle, and bottom slots. The Arctic Freezer 64 Pro i got today was HUGE and so the upper cage wouldnt have fitted in anyway :p

Surprisingly, the slightly restricted airflow has resulted in the air flowing faster.

I've adjusted the middle HDD back, thanks for your input :)
