akasa eclipse 64 cooling

hi
could someone try and explain to me that when i have the side panel off and the top off,it knocks off about 8c when idel. and it still knocks 6c while gaming.
i have really good air flow,but i might be missing something,here is a picture

and the intake fan is a akasa viper .

no do you think that would help having a side fan blowing onto the motherboard?
i did read some where that was bad air flow.
also i think it might make my case a bit ugly with a big side fan.

Which front fan you got on there ? best to have more cfm bringing air in and slightly less exhausting I would recommend a £7 thermalright ty-14 fan when they come back in stock it's 140mm but has 120mm mounting holes and would fit in the front of the eclipse as it's wide.

I cant see much wrong with it and do own an eclipse still and never had such a fluctuation maybe it's just this humid weather ?
Adding a Scythe Kama Bay to the 525 bays will help there's one for sale in the mm black one for £9.
I would also get rid of the plastic cable holder and make the cable management a tad better so the front intake fan has a clearer path and make sure front intakes are your most powerful fans.

I asked about the side fan as that can often disrupt airflow going from front to back.

I think because you have a decent cooler on your graphics card that vents into the case you will just get warmer temperatures in your case, unless you can increase your exhausting fans. Removing the side panel allows the graphics card to breath cooler air and this in turn drops it's temperature and the CPU too simply because there's less warm air stuck in your case.

I'd be more inclined to reduce the intake speed and allow cool air to be drawn in through the rear vents over the graphics card.

Seems a bit silly to have a decent potentially quiet graphics cooler and then spoil it be having a 1900rpm fan blasting cool air into the case.

What temperatures are we talking about here anyway?

The akasa viper is a great fan but at full pelt theyre pretty loud, the kama bay is a good suggestion, had one fitted in one of my eclipse cases and it really helped.

Tucking a few of your cables away helps as well, below is a shot of an i7 930 rig i put together recently in an eclipse.

Hid a few cables down the side of the hdd bays and used pre braided extensions that were easier to route.
