Hi guys,

I bought a akasa fc-03 and just got it all set up minus the temp sensors. I might just be confused but I was under the impression that this could reduce the fans to 5v.

I use my lian li v1000+ stock fans except the cooler on the noctua and none of the fans will spin under 1050 or so on the lowest setting.. basically it seems exactly the same as before except now I can make them spin really really loud too! The noctua goes down to about 860 - is this because its a better quality fan? I purchased 3 yate loons the other day too but i'm sure how much difference those will actually make. Reluctant to do it as it's a lot of work since its a cramped case.

Just a bit disappointed really - was hoping I could really reduce the volume but its still really audible.. no noise other than the whooshing of air.

Is this just how it is and the fans spinning at 1000 = 5v? Or am I missing something?

Cheers! :)

Not sure about your controler. I played with my fan controler by 7 and 5 volt modding it but it would not go beneith 7v no matter what.

My Yate Loons made a WORLD of difference. Really good fans in my opinion.

EDIT:// When I 5v modded it it went at 5vs no matter how high or low I set it. Same with 3v mod. Sorry for incorrect details above.

Some fans will not run at 5v. What I mean by this is they will not start spinning with 5v and need 7v+ to start off hence a lot of controllers won't go below 7v. The yates are near silent at 7v.
