ok im officialy lost with what should be pretty simple
the direction of air from the fans im using in my setup, i cant work out if its right or wrong
bottom 80mm sticker at top
side 120mm sticker inside
rear 120mm sticker outside
cpu 80mm sticker facing out

can anyone confirm which way the air should be blowing with my config.
please dont laugh. i cant determine if fans are intaking or exhausting

bottom is intake, bringing cool air in
side is intake
rear is exhaust, blowing hot air out
you want your CPU fan set up to blow the air directly into the rear exhaust fan so its taken out as quickly as possible
Its a general rule of thumb that exhaust fans are at top and rear and intake fans are at front and bottom, side fans tend to be intakes too, they direct cool air onto things like gfx cards etc, hope this helps

thanks 95thrifles
thats what you see in my setup yes ?
is there anything wrong with my setup ?
would another fan at the rear or the cpu heatsink blowing the air into the rear exhaust be a good idea ?
i have 2 more of these arriving tomorrow

If you can fit it in i would have.

2 Front intakes.
Side intake (Over Graphics card, that area)
CPU - Exhaust ing into the rear fan.
2 Exhaust fans.

That way you get good air flow, cold air coming in, cooling the inside then being blown out.

I only have 3 fans [all i can fit]

1 CPU exhaust, its a dell so its being channels out of the back,
1 slot fan, that fits in the PCI slot, very good i think.
and 1 120mm i put on the side to suck hot air out -its above the GPU.

Hope this helps =]

I always find it hard to tell in a picture tbh, if you cant work out yourself try holding a feather or something like that in front of the fan and see if it gets blown away from or sucked into it.
If you could fit it, imo, you'd benefit more form another fan on the fron of the case, one near top and one near bottom, that should funnel all the air to the back, then as the heat rises it will exhaust out, a fan on top of the case at the rear would be good too but if your case isnt fitted with this its prob too hard to mod

i can fit a top exhaust and i just need to know if zipping another on the heatsink to throw the air into the rear of the exhaust is a good idea or not

I found the scythe kama bay to be a handy add on for an extra intake fan, due to having 3 hdds in my akasa eclipse the bottom intake fan was being smothered a bit, so i got the kama bay and swapped the useless fan that it's supplied with and put another 2000 rpm fan in its place.
