Hi,

I'm planning on switching out the stock h60 fan for a gentle typhoon 1850 x 2 push/pull setup. I'm also considering using a Akasa PWM adapter:

Questions:

1) Are the typhoons a lot quieter than the stock fan like-for-like, ie can I expect them to be louder than stock at full rpm? Is PWM control even necessary ?

2) will a PWM adapter work on the GT, as I understand it is actually not PWM compatible?

Thanks

so my GT's arrived,

During LINX, my peak temp on the hottest core has dropped from 62 to 54 degrees c, however in gaming I'm getting a similar temp as before when gaming (I'm assuming as the graphics card is also heating up).

I've noticed that during heavy load, my H60 pump RPM drops slightly. Is this normal? I've never paid attention so not sure if this happened before.

Specs:

550w OCZ bronze power supply
i5-2500k @ 4ghz @ 1.22v
gtx560 non-ti (810mhz stock @ 900mhz)
4gig ram
5 case fans
H60 pump
gz68-ap-d3 motherboard
500gig hd

I can't see my PSU not handling my system as I have hardly any other bits, and the graphics card doesn't pull a huge amount of power from benchmarks I've seen.

btw* it's dropping from 4150-4250RPM to 4050-4150 RPM. This only seems to happen under GPU load, i.e when running CPU benchmarks it stays normal. During GPU benchmarks with idle CPU, it drops
