Akasa USB 3.0 controller card problems

Drivers?

For the USB 3.0 card?

I tried the disk and then the Akasa site drivers

The motherboard has been kept up to date throughout its life and was updated using the Intel site drivers last night

Did you install the drivers off the disk when you installed W7 64, or direct from the Gigabyte site.

Just dug out the manual for the board, go to page 44, look at PCI IRQ Assignment, try disabling them if you don't use them see what happens.

Also if you don't use serial port, parallel port, then disable them, see page 41

Set your PCI Express Frequency to 101 might stop default back to auto.

Will give it a go tonight chap, thanks.

Sorry mate, missed this.

I installed from the disk, just took what Windows 7 had and everything was spanky and nice.

I thought that bashing on the Intel chipset drivers might change that though

Alright chaps.......

I tried entering the PCI Frequency to 101 and as soon as I applied that and rebooted, the BIOS defaulted back to standard.

Standard = Pish btw.

Anyway, I let it roll and low and behold the USB 3.0 card was detected and when I installed the drivers, all was well.

Now.....I REALLY need your help to work out why my OC was preventing this from working.

All advice appreciated.

I will link this in the OC sub-forum as well

Thanks so far
Andy
