Well its about 30 degrees outside, my 8800gt is idling at 60 degrees, going up to 70 ingame, and it gets waaaaaay too loud for my liking.

I want a cheap and efficient cooler, and this one looks great

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-047-AK

its cheap, looks easy to do, and reviews are positive.

One thing I couldnt find, is whether you could change the Fan speeds? because the power cable doesn't go into the GPU, maybe you cannot do this?

If anyone could clarify that, thanks a lot.

also, anyone know what the best shipping method is to abroad? I don't mind waiting a few days, as long as it arrives.

yes I have speedfan.

SO it wouldn't work with rivatuners fan profiles? or are they unrelated?

Yeah, got one on my 8800gt, use something like speedfan to control it

what are your idle temps and max load temp on css for example?

No, you have to fit it to a manual speed controller.

i.e. you cannot use fan software within Windows to control the speed UNLESS you connect it to a mobo fan header and use that.

No, or as far as i know you can't. Im using Rivatuner with Speedfan, the first for overclocking and second for fan speed control.

Temps? 48 degrees idle right now, average load is about 55, but on days like today (very hot & humid) its about 60. Full load / stress test it hits about 70. This is with speedfan on a nice and quiet 65% with a Antec 900 case.

EDIT: Just noticed my sig got removed, had it for ages, booooo :(
