Venom Voodoo, this cooler is definitely rock and roll. Venom Voodoo delivers ultra high performance enabling serious system overclocking. The 12cm killer Viper yellow fan uses S-Flow blades providing 30% more airflow than a standard fan at the same speed. PWM function ensures quiet operation during normal system use and performance cooling under load.

The Black cover and copper heatpipes combined with the Viper yellow elements creates a striking combination which adds pazazz to any system. Six high capacity heatpipes with direct CPU contact provide rapid heat transfer from CPU to high grade aluminium profiled fins. Anti-vibration rubber fan mounting pins provide easy installation and help to eliminate a lot of fan noise. Adjustable mountings ensure full compatibility with all current AMD and Intel CPU’s.

Dual 12cm viper fans giving extreme performance in a push-pull setup where the first fan “pushes” air through the heatsink’s cooling fins, at the same time the second one “pulls” air through from the other side. The combined airflow of two 12cm fans results in more efficient heat dissipation and consequently lower CPU temperatures.

- Dual 120mm PWM fans in killer viper yellow
- Six high capacity 6mm heatpipes with direct CPU contact
- Award winning S-FLOW fan blades provide 30% more airflow
- Rubber fan mounts for easy install and quiet performance

Hi,

How would this compare to a Prolimatech Megahalems Rev B with the same fans?

Is the Venom ok with taller ram?
Would you know what kind of max temps on prime i'd get on a i7 920 @4.2

Cheers :)

the voodoo and the megahalem with the same fans would perform very similarly.

I guess it's no brainer to go with the voodoo then, as it comes with the fans :) i have tall ram, so there be enough room would u say ?

It was out of the
megahalem
voodoo
Or Corsair Hydro H80.
But was worried about a lot of heat coming out the back due to the radiator on load of heavy gaming, as it's under my desk. my legs roast enough as it is with the crossfire card :D
I do a lot of heavy gaming @ 1920x1200.

Cheers.

if you've got Gskill ripjaws or something of a similar height then i;d say go for it. i wouldnt be so sure if you had corsair vengance though. someone did a review of this recently so i'll see if i can dig it up

*edit*
here it is

looks like you should be OK if you dont use the RAM slot closest to the cooler, but in every other slot you can have any height RAM you want

neill, any chance you could find out for me please mate :)

We are going to stock the new cases, however there is no ETA from Akasa yet

EDIT:
Infact I just MSN'd my Akasa contact who advises it should be mid-October.

are you getting the new case by akasa ? , if so have you any idea when ?
also how does the Venom Voodoo compair to the venom ?

I would imagine that the Voodoo would compare nearly the same as the Venom if the Venom had push/pull fans.

From my own experience with the Venom, there's only a small drop in temps using the push/pull setup, it's been a while since I checked but I think its about 2 - 4°C.

You say that but we are selling the Level 10 GT in white.

Better than I expected anyway.

its certainly the most vulgar case your selling (and if you guys dont sell it then i very rarely know about it). some people will appreciate it, but i much prefer the subtle cases like the raven 2
