X2 are the cans for you, they are not as warm as the X1 and are not fatiguing and harsh/bright like the AKGs.

The XX are not fatiguing or harsh at all. Oodles of detail and spacious sound.

I'm super Sensitive to peaks and over tbr top brightness a d found the K7XX smooth. They even sound smoother than the Annie.

I found the K7XX's soundstage congested though. Really good headphone overall.

I appreciated the quality of the sound, but the signature didn't do it for me. I wanted to put them on and for them to wow me, but they didn't, and I decided I would rather have my £200 back than keep them. No regrets.

Have to say I prefer these to the X1's. I guess I'll hold off buying 712pro's or the HE-560. Good cans for the money!

Fatiguing usually means the treble (high pitch) can be annoying and after a while your ears begin to bleed (not literally but you get what I mean)

I can definitely confirm the K7XX are not fatiguing to my ears, both bass port modded and stock!

This is from them being driven by a NAD headphone amp though...
