Akhtar and Asif fail drugs test

Interestingly it seems like the PCB did the test and not the ICC so i do wonder what will happen, will the PCB pass the results onto the ICC or not...

Anyways as i said in the other thread, both of them are morons for taking the drugs. If anything im more shocked at Asif being found guilty rather than Akhtar...Akhtar is more rebellious so im not at all surprised that he got caught out.
Mind you if he gets a band like Warne did a few yrs ago then i reckon that will finish his career. Asif is more of a worry for me as hes pretty young and had lots of talent.

Anyways the both of them are complete morons for taking the drugs and tryoing to get away with it.

Idiots, Rana Naveed has had a 'suspicious' result from a test too apparently.
As you say, Pak. are in a right mess at the moment, I have no sympathy for them whatsoever though:)

The thing that may cause this to really kick off is that, to some the testing of Nandralone usage is suspect ( mainly folks who have just been caught though )

I assume that ban is mandatory in these circumstances

Be interesting to see what their b sample results show. If they're positive then I'm assuming a ban of at least 12months, going by what shane warne got when he got caught taking diuretics. Pakistan cricket certainly seems to be in a mess at the moment.

Apparently the PCB don't have their own anti doping regulations so will probably follow the ICC guidelines in which case they will both get a 2 year ban if the b test comes back positive.

Akhtar will be 33 then and I cant see him getting back to test level after 2 years out of the game.
