Alan Wake release date?

I got an email from the company I have pre-ordered Alan Wake because the release date has changed and they stated it will be released on the 29th September 2006.

I can't find much information about this release date via google as it all points to January 2007 but I have found the release date of 29/09/2006 on another major online distributor too.

Neither companies can be mentioned but just wondered if anyone else has read about a more recent release date other than next year?

I'd be surprised if we see this before the end of the year. Surely if it was going to be released in four weeks we would have had some gameplay footage and more information by now.
 
March 2007, sounds about right to me, this game is going to be cross platform with Windows Vista :)

Im pretty sure its going to be one of the first games were both xbox 360 and pc owners can play together. (i think)

Probably my most anticipated game since...
... Max Payne 2.

I can't wait for this! I might book in a weeks holiday to play it.
