Tried to play it multiple times. Just found the gameplay very dull.

Same here. Not keen enough to try again with a remastered version. I felt it was one of those games that I can only play through once and not be bothered again. I didnt even play any of the dlc's.

Why was this game such a big deal back in the day? Was it due to it using multiple cpu cores for weather effects etc? I remember all the hype about things like that when it was a pc game and they showed these effects off, then MS swiped it for a 360 exclusive.
