Alarmed disc locks

I've just bought myself an ER5 as a Winter bike so it's probably not high on anyone's list of desirable bikes to steal, however I reckon I should probably still put a disc lock on it just to prevent opportunists.

Is it worth getting an alarmed one or are they just more hassle that they're worth? Anyone got any recommendations?

I already use a normal non-alarmed Xena disc lock on my ZX6R so I'm pretty good at remembering that it's on, just unsure whether to get another one like that or get an alarmed one.
