I'm a complete and utter noob to all this but I'm in the process of converting all of my CD Collection to MP3 on my HD.

Using EAC + Lame MP3 codec for converting and Media Player 10's library to access them etc.

I'd like to have the cover of the album appear when each MP3 is played and its appearing on some but not all of the tracks (will appear for one album track and not another).

Why is this happening and what can be done to fix it?

I think it all depends what is in the window data base and if the CD gets sold in HMV stores or not.
I dont think its your fault at all

You need to use the advanced tag editor in Windows Media Player. Highlight the albums tracks in the media player library, right click on your mouse and select advanced tag editor.

Make sure you have this info in each file:

Track Info:
Title
Genre
Track Number
Album

Album Info:
Artist
Artist Info

Make sure all the files have the same info and it should sort out your problems with the artwork.

Hope this helps

All that information is present in each file and it still doesn't work

How about the picture section? If I save an image of the album and select it in there will it appear when the track is playing?

Heres a better way ;). Get high-res 600x600 album art from iTunes using this website :D. Then rename the picture file folder (JUST folder) and place it in the folder relevant to the album (eg. Place the Employment album cover by Kaiser Chiefs into the Kaiser Chiefs Employment folder with the music files and then rename the picture folder). When you connect a PDA or phone to WMP10 then the album art will also be transferred using this method :D .

Album Art Fixer does that but it automates the process, so you don't have to manually rename the picture and place it in the right folder.
