Alcatraz

It looks good, but we all know what might happen! It will get to the end of the season and we still wont have any idea what happened.

Has anyone been watching this? Worth watching?

It's a bit meh.
Up to yet it's the same story every week:
Prisoner suddenly appears out of nowhere since he went missing in 1960, kills a few people, Hurley from Lost helps to capture him and Sam Neill locks them away in a secret prison.

It's very "fringe"...all the episodes so far could be stand alone fringe episodes. I don't mind though cos I love Fringe, however i'm expecting this to get cancelled before it completes the first season, the story is too specific.

I've watched the first few, it could be something interesting, then again, it could be an absolute flop. It's a bit too early to tell at the moment, think i'll keep an eye on this one though.

Yep same story each week.....it needs to go in a different direction if it wants to keep viewers.

Up until now the characters have been fairly interesting but the same format week on week will quickly get boring.

Not great so far. As already mentioned, its the same story every week with no real progression in the main story arc. Just seems a bit silly that all these guys have been given a second chance and all they can do is go on a killing spree. The first guy didn't even seem to be in Alacatraz for that bad a crime and yet he still fancied going on a killing spree.

I think it's going to turn out that they are being forced to commit their crimes by someone/something.

Still, yea. It's a bit rubbish.

Hurley is pretty crap in general and his character in this is incredibly pathetic. The bird in it is not a good actress, the ridiculous nature of agreeing to work with these guys, and doing stuff like breaking criminals out of a bank robbery....... while knowing nothing.

It's such lazy story telling, everyone does stupid stuff because, in 6 series we'll explain it really really badly.

Surprisingly quite a few of the Alcatraz old guys have actually been quite good in it, the warden and a few others, Neill and all the other leads have been cack.

impression i got with the first guy was he was getting payback for his treatment while in there, rather than going on a killing spree.

bit stranger is the people working with sam neil that used to be at alcatraz

but i'm not getting to interested in at as its bound to get cut if it finds it feet and improves enough to make it decent viewing :(.

After the first episode I guessed they would do a prisoner a week, hopefully they'll start focusing more on the people who made this possible and their intentions behind it.
