Alcohol free lager

Nope, not sure what alcohol free stuff I was on when I went away and was on meds, but it was awful. Tried it 3 separate nights, each night before going to bed I had a banging head!

I'd rather a hang over!

I've tried a lot of the alcohol free beers over the last few years because I don't want fizzy r sweet drinks all the time if I have to drive.

Erdinger alcohol free is the beats the pack by a long margin. Tesco and Sainsburys both sell it.
Clausteiner is a very close second. Harder to find but Budgens stock it.
After that its a big drop in quality but if memory serves Heineken alcohol free is ok.

Cobra, Becks and Bitburger are all filth.

I've been alcohol free for the last 10months, pregnant and now breast feeding.
Bavaria 0% is the best I've tried, cobra / equator / pretty much anything else is terrible.
I've also had a couple of 0.5% beers, a Sainsburys pilsner which is palatable and St Omer shandy stubbies are ok too, iirc a pint works out to 0.25units.

I haven't tried Becks blue yet, but that's the one they serve most frequently in pubs.
I know they sell hoegaarden 0% on the continent but I haven't seen any over here yet!

Clausthaler used to be quite good. Bitburger drive wasn't too bad either but Clausthaler was better. It's been a long time since I've had any though and that was out in Germany so no idea if they freely available over here.

I've tried a fair few over the years and dumped it in the category with decaffeinated coffee and diet soft drinks which is to say I'd prefer to drink the proper stuff or just go without completely.

I'm sorta used to just having a soda water or whatever if I'm drinking now.

why bother?

have a decent soft drink instead.

I agree. I've never had a decent non-alcholic beer. When I don't want to drink but fancy something a bit moreish, I find that ice cold soda water with a healhty twisty of Lime juice can really hit the spot... I'd also say the same about ginger beer if the stuff in the shops wasn't all sickly sweet dishwater with about as much kick as the proverbial one legged man at a bottom kicking contest.

You should just drink normal beer, it'll help your little one sleep better ;)
