Ok hopefully this wont be deleted as 'crap'

Anyone else not like the 'high' from alcohol? Tonight is the first time i've been drunk in ages. I love having a couple of beers just to chill out like this weekend for example. I've always loved getting absolutely bladdered but tonight i feel different for some reason. I genuinely just feel like i want to be sober.

Meh, crap thread, i'll probablyt get suspended. I genuinely did mean something genuine in this thread
 
Yeah i was pretty much how you described no sunday night at a gig. Not sure why really been a lot more relaxed of late about drinking and have cut down to goin out about 3times a month. Just prefer to chill out with a couple of decent beers in my own flat.
 
I don't mind being tipsy, I'm not a fan of being blind-stinkingly drunk.

3 pints is generally my happiness quotient :D

I've written and rewritten a post about alcohol and what i think of it about 3 times now and figured i'd be best off typing it when im sober.

In the mean time, what do you think fo filterheadz - catagena?
 
to be honest i have never seen the point in having a couple of drinks. If you dont feel the effect what was the point? :)

for me its either drink a drink because i like it (which rules out my usual amount of vodka) or drink a drink becase i want to get wasted (well hello again mr vodka)

was very drunk on friday night... spent the entire weekend groaning about how drink is evil and i should cut back :)
 
there's times when i dont like being drunk. normally when i'm bloated and urinating every 13 seconds.

Yup, I'd agree with that. Got plastered on my 21st, and as much as i had a wicked evening, the feeling of being that drunk just isnt fun unless at a club or something where you dont really notice.

But in general, I'd rather have a few beers with my mates at a pub, or chillout out my place or theirs with some bevies. Much more enjoyable as atleast you can talk and have a laugh.

Chilling > wasted TBH
 
I don't like being totally drunk. I never did. :confused:

I just like having a few and feeling relaxed; in fact, I can't even get totally drunk anymore. Up to a point, I find it hard to physically keep drinking.

So, it's all good I think.

3 or 4 drinks is more than enough for a decent night. Then top it up with another every hour or so. :)

It's a cider :p It's not that strong but it is nice.

If the atmosphere isn't right being drunk isn't fun. A few times I've had a couple of beers when I've been by myself and even though it wasn't much alcohol, I could feel the effect. And when I'm just sitting there not doing anything slightly tipsy, I really don't like the feeling and I'm just waiting to completely sober up.

So you want to drink but you want to be sober??? Alcohol-free beers include Kaliber and Becks non-alco.

Or you could drink Vodka and coke without the Vodka.
