What is this crap there airing, that is the most annoying man I have ever heard talking about normal foods as if there bad. Who give a crap if you milks got puss in it or you burgers got heart in it, if its cheap then its for a reason if you dont like it you can shove it..

Man that guy makes me more angry than playing counterstrike, and for some reason I cant stop watching it :(

I agree he's a **** what is wrong with heart, connective tissue, fat or skin. It's nothing you don't eat in a normal join and offal isn't disgusting like British public think.
And it's not as if the packaging was lying. It tells you what % and most even tell you the cuts used.

I tend to buy better sausages and stuff to avoid heart or other parts and just the flesh (steak) stuff. As i dont like the idea of eating heart, liver, kidney, etc. Pure flesh for me if i can help it.

Also i hate how some foods just says % of meat like 60% pork etc, instead of saying what type of pork i.e what bits etc. Id like more specific info on what im eating.

Btw not watched the show just commenting on food.

If its edible then what is the problem??
We would be wasting even more food by not eating it. And would be a complete waste of a % part of the animal.
Nothing wrong with MRM other than it just looks and sounds wrong. Any decent food stock will contain exactly the same ingredients, i dont hear any one complaining when a chicken carcase/pigs head/fish heads is boiled to extract all the bone marrow ect when making soups/stocks!

I'm beginning to really hate these sorts of reports that provide nothing more than shock journalism to the half witted people that fall for it.

Humans are animals, what makes connective tissue any worse to eat than muscle tissue?

Maybe if it was packaged nicely on the supermarket shelf with a few celebrity's telling us how good/nice it is to eat, would that help?

I've seen both the MRM show and then I saw the Dairy product show last night.

It's left me feeling like I'm not sure what opinion to make, on one hand I think he's making a good point, but on the other, I think he's just blowing hot air in a lot of cases.

As far as MRM goes, if you look at the kind of products that contain hardly any meat and are MRM, they are exactly the kind of thing you would expect them to be found in. Canned meats and cheap burgers and sausages, that's why they are so cheap! I tend to avoid these because I knew without seeing his show that they weren't going to be great.

However, as I've mentioned before on these forums, I saw a food show ages ago where Jamie Oliver, or Heston Bluemtial, can't remember which Chef it was now, went to a quality Butchers to discuss meat. They made a really good sausages using the best cuts available, then they made one with all the rubbish parts, as far as they could legally go. They then cooked them both up and did a taste test. Both the Chef and members of the public noticed no difference between the rubbish sausage and the good one, they both just tasted like sausage!

The Milk one was kind of disgusting when you saw the pus and bloody bits, but all that gets killed by the pasturisation process, so its hardly anything to worry about. The Cheese Slices with less than 6% cheese in it were quite interesting though!

I think it's pretty good, it depends how picky you are as to whether your going to enjoy it or think its stating the obvious
