Dear god, THE POWER. Runnign psyx even on medium with no NVidia card is clearly TOO MUCH for my i5 750! Look how the COMPLICATED and REALISTIC calculations have completely loaded up and destroyed my processor! Clearly my processor has no chance to survive with no dedicated CUDA cores!

Seriously though, why isn't it even maxing out a single core? :rolleyes:

It's really shame since some of the effects they've added are quite nice. Maybe I'll give in and borrow a cheap NVidia card from work to play this game :P
 
Its showing good loading over 3 cores, its more efficent in terms of smooth performance to spread the load out a bit even if its doesn't max out any one core than max out several things on one core.

Task manager isn't a 100% guide either - it could be working at the utmost efficency for what the CPU can process but not show 100% load.
