Hey fokes, I've just turned sold my 295x2 for two GTX 980s.

Of course some of you might find that mad claiming it has the same power or whatever. I of course swapped for Nivida overall better quality stuff weather its overclocking, drivers or software they seem to come out best.

Anyway, Alien.

Can someone explain this:

In this photo, you can see 3 GPUs, This is my 295x2 and a 290x running crossfire with around 219 FPS.

Now, I just got my GTX 980, One card. Tried to samething with the same settings and I get around 250 fps, On one card.... How does that even work? I've not even tried to overclock the 980 yet. Blowns me away it can sit there avg 150 fps on alien by itself full settings without stressing.
 
The gtx980 is indeed the fastest card in this game but every high end card is running this game with averages in hundreds. It's not taxing on the graphics front. What you said about switching to Nvidia for overall better quality stuff weather its overclocking, drivers or software they seem to come out best is highly subjective. The gtx980 launch has it's fair share or bugs and bad drivers from what i am seeing around here.

and I would add 970s... between coil whine and fans issues... not the best and we can't use the word quality either... only hope is OcUK 970

One, its where i saved the game.
two, even from this sence the 980 outpreforms the 295x2
three, the screen is blank when it should be displaying, crossfire issue. Disabling crossfire lets it work but halfs fps.

Overall, happy bunny i moved :3
 
To be fair though, in certain games the 295x2 will absolutely destory as single 980 in terms of performance.

And so it should, seen as its 2 powerful GPUs on the same board. Must be a crossfire issue or CPU bottleneck in the OP.
