Does the alien Blu-ray boxset, the one with the alien heads on the left feature aliens are with sentry guns and alien 3 directors cut or are they the theatrix versions?

I don't think it's so clear cut, there are a few parts of the SE that add to the movie but parts that utterly detract (the first name exchange between Ripley & Hicks)

I agree, some parts are OK but if you have to pick one I would pick theatrical because I really dislike the changed opening.

The worst bits of SE:
The opening with Newts family and seeing the colony, spoils the immersion of seeing it the first time with the marines is better.
Hutson talking about there being a queen. This spoils the surprise at the end the first time you see it.
Ripley having a daughter, I just don't believe she did based on the first film. I prefer the family unit that forms between her, Newt and Hicks by the end.

Hutson's badass speech

The good bits of SE:
Burk's longer speech convincing Ripley to go
The establishing shot inside the Sulaco
The sentry guns section

yup.

I don't think there are any offical blu-rays of aliens that don't have both cuts as they did them for the Alien Anthology DVD release and it seems they've basically kept the same content (but in higher definition) on all releases after that.

I went to see Resurrection at the cinema and you see Riply snap a medics arm as they cut the queen cord. I don't think I've seen it any cut for home use.
