So this name was just trademarked by 20th Century Fox for use with video games, with an official reveal being rumoured for the 2018 Game Awards next month.

Seriously though, hope it's something of a similar quality to Isolation, and not another half-assed FPS. Or shudder, a bloody mobile game.

Isolation was the best Alien game I've played tbh.

Having said that AvP was damn good too back in the day, Different take on the franchises though.

Yeah, AvP and the sequel were genuine classics (not the 2010 installment though). Enjoyed the SNES platformer too... might have been Alien 3?

Actually, now that I think of it, aren't Creative Assembly working on a shooter at the moment? Wonder do they still have the license..... Hmmm.

It's a shame Isolation didn't get a sequel, it was an amazing game but didn't sell well enough for the fatcats

I thought the AvP movies would be like the games (with the Aliens setting). But they were *****.

Yeah, they were awful. I can't believe the same director responsible for the rather good Event Horizon, has churned out so many turds. Most of his crap is video game related too - Monster Hunter is his next flick...

Literally came here to post the same news, really excited for this. Unlikely it's an Isolation sequel though, shame as Isolation is one of the single best games of the last decade.

Yes, it's the same game. Cold Iron studios owned by FoxNext (sub of Fox or something) has been slowly working on it for a while now.

It's going to be an other shooting game, an FPS or some sort.

Kojima is working on Death Stranding, so is not connected to this game.

AvP 2010 was an absolute joke of a game compared to the first 2 AvP games. It was ridiculously simplified and the atmosphere was nowhere near as good.

I hope this is related to Isolation more than a shooter. Alien Isolation was amazing! Easy up there one of the best games of all time.

Apparently if you correct the spelling mistake in the config file, apparently it improves the AI massively

Does actually improve the game as I've done this myself for a coop play through with a friend a few years back. Makes the aliens much more aggressive and genuinely dangerous. On release even the hardest setting was a complete joke but now its actually quite a challenge. Its still pretty damn poor as far as FPS games go. AVP2 marine campaign is a superior game and its so much older!

I'm hoping this game is another isolation style but with much better graphics. The sound on Isolation was superb but I always though the graphics looked a tag clunky. I'd shamelessly love to see a colonial marines FPS game though with state of the art graphics. Can you imagine it with BFV engine and RTX?!
