Alien Breed Impact

I had a quick play of the demo the other day with it being similar to Shadowgrounds, which I liked (although it got a bit repetitive towards the end of the second one).

I thought it was good and I think it will appeal to fans of those games. Although I only played it for a short while, there doesn't seem to be much new in there. Although that's not necessarily a bad thing. When I get more time, I'm going to give it a better play and perhaps purchase depending on how I feel. I'd be interested to hear what everyone else thinks on the game.

Ah demo?
Didnt know! Will grab this evening. Thanks.

I liked the Alien Breed demo - fairly similar to the Amiga classics and the weapon upgrade system looks quite fun.

Disappointed that the aliens now look like a generic Starship Troopers ripoff rather than the blatant HR Gieger design they used back in the day, although I guess they could get away with using it back then ;)

I'd probably say it's worth £10 - I don't think I'd pay any more for it.

I was going to get this just for the co-op but it seems there's just three seperate maps for co-op, you can't run through the single player campaign with a friend?

Looks bit like Alien Swarm though, which is of course, free.

Worth a punt for less than a fiver?

Try the demo. Thought it looked ok when I first tried it a while back, but have waited for it to drop to buy it.

Problem with Alien Swarm though is that I couldn't care less about online play for this sort of game, whereas this (and games like Shadowgrounds) are mainly single player games (though it does have a multiplayer bit).

Did anyone else get this at half price? I just completed it myself and I thought it was very good. Not outstanding by any means, but defiantly worth the £6 odd I paid for it. Looks like another one will be coming out at some point. I look forward to it!
