Aliens whats your view?

That's weird. My heading telling me they must have altered how they fired the electrons, done something other than just add a measuring device there or the measuring device gave off something which affects how the electrons behave. But then I realised I'm not a physicist and they will have thought of everything I can think of and more.

Woah. Me and 2 colleagues in the office just heard a really weird noise? It sound like a jet flying down towards us, like at supersonic. We all reared our heads at the same time and the other guy looked really shocked!

It was like only 2 seconds long tops and couldn't see anything? I have heard many jets... this was going very quick at a high altitude as it wasn't too noisey if that makes sense? (no roar or after noise)

I am really confused, I can hear the noise in my head now... but to replicate it would be hard... I will find a video of a similar sound maybe and speed it up or something.

By the rate it was traveling, we heard it over the music in our office (strange cause we never hear anything over those tunes!) did anyone else just hear something fly over in the south?

It's a question of accelleration, think how long it would take t build up to that speed, considering that accelerating at anything over 1-2 G's is going to be very uncomfortable/difficult. then you have to decelerate, again at a slow rate.

Even at 2g's lightspeed would be achieved after approx 177 days.

The only problem is maintaining that level of acceleration.

cool coldn't be bothered to work it out, still got the problem that as you approach light speed the object gains mass, and you need a hell of a lot more thrust to gain a small amount of speed.

I believe there is life outside our planet, if only on the basis of sheer probability.

What form it might take, we cannot say.

But if it's intelligent life, the last thing it should be doing is letting us know that it's out there! :p

Shame you didn't get a chance to see what angle it was flying at.

If it's the delayed quantum eraser (I haven't watched the video, but it sounds like it), it's not the act of measuring it that determines what pattern is seen, but whether the measurement results are known or not. If you record the results on a computer and then erase it after a set period of time before viewing, you get one pattern, if you do the same but view the results, you get something different...

Currently, there's no explaination for this, because it really doesn't make any sense in our understanding of the universe. It suggests that events in the future can alter the present, which is a mind-bender in scientific terms for starters.

Surely if you could travel at lightspeed... even space dust or small debris would obliterate the hull? you would also need a straight line to travel in or you would hit planets/suns/black holes?

I will quote myself for this one, because again... I think in order to bend space... black holes are the key to doing this. Interesting theory though, I will adapt my ideas with that in mind!

In order to travel the galaxy, we must research black holes. It was discovered that particles around black holes actually disappear and other particles appear. This could mean that they are traveling into another dimension where speed is not limited to light and they can appear elsewhere in the same form. Surely by harnessing this we can literally teleport where we want?

If anyone has seen that documentary on black holes, please let me know if the theory above is on the right lines? :)

Fake? Maybe it was flying at too steep of an angle? :D or not use to our atmosphere and mavity etc... who knows..
