Aliens whats your view?

Me believes planets like Mars and Pluto have cockroaches living on them and someday when the world ends they'll take over here too, not that they are already doing that.

Let me assure this House that Her Majesty's government has never been approached by people from outer space
Government briefing to House of Lords

That doesn't deny other species visiting, just other people!

:D

I googled that phrase just out of curiosity, this is what I found...

http://www.ufocasebook.com/nasafacts.html

Googling any sort of conspiracy theory is unlikely to return particularly reliable links, but still.

/edit - couldn't watch your link cos I'm at work

Thanks for the link, so that quote could well be fake. There's so much BS regarding this subject its hard to filter it.

When Admirals, Commodores, Lieutenants, ETC. give evidence its hard to dismiss.

I just can't believe statements like that when the government are trying to make so much of a point about it. It's like saying "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" or the 12 board member of Phillip Morris standing up in front of congress and saying they didn't believe nicotine is an addictive substance.

I believe there a lot of things the government aren't telling us but it's not in our interest to know. There may be some massive coverup, but its better than panicking the whole planet and saying, "actually it's true, and they keep coming back for the McVities Boasters!" Imagine the panic.

So these incredibly smart aliens with faster than light travel, and the capability to hide the presumably massive effects of such a drive, are still so dim witted as to fly about at night with their lights on, incapable of avoiding basic radar, and still haven't been able to hid from sight? Heck even our primitive selves have been able to cloak a cylinder from microwaves/radar, surely they should have been able to do it with light with roughly the same principal.

Oeschler was of the opinion that the transmission was a deliberately set-up hoax for some intelligence purpose.
An opinion in a long line of opinions that offer a far more ridiculous explanation than the original item being discussed. Why say alien when unidentified could have served as a more reasonable description?

Well, there may be different types of aliens visiting us. They don't all have to be from the same world. Some may be peaceful, some may not want to alarm us, some may be malicious. And then there are those that just like to take the **** by flying past in a massive spaceship and watching people pass them off as weather balloons. If I were an alien, that's what I'd do.

Hehe. Yet there are those in the House of Windsor that believe they have.

These sighting could be of civilian crafts that are out on a stroll or even tourists!

But seriously, in a utopian society, they would have no need for defensive or offensive capabilities....such as cloaking. They have no need to hide themselves, or maybe they under estimated our capabilities in spotting them?

Same, I would hover over small villages in the middle of nowhere and freak them out, then shoot off really quickly so that nobody can get a decent picture. I would then land and talk to some OAP and claim he is not worthy to upset him, before flying off back home for waffles.

But most pics of ufo's are of a completely black sky + some lights.

I mean surely one of the rules for earth safari would be turn your headlights off

And say humans invented FTL travel tomrrow and found aliens the next, do you really thin kwe'd go

"right major you, round up 15 drunks, Sargent fetch me a wide selection of the mentally challenged, you over their go get me some red necks. "

"Sir, surely it would be better to abduct scientists men of learning?"

"... Quiet you!"

Also why does "life" have to be carbon based?

http://imagine.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/ask_astro/answers/980221b.html

Carbon is more abundant that any other speculated base, is more capable than the others too. It's just a hell of a lot harder for for complex biological systems to come about without carbon and water (you obviously need a solvent too), and makes it even more unlikely that an equivalently advanced species would exist.

Disclaimer: obviously all this is based on what is currently known.

Yes, that's classic. Being picked last for the school rubgy team time and time again is one thing, but to be told by an alien that you're not worthy because you're too pathetic trumps everything.

Humanity's first contact and chance to evolve the planet and you are told that you are unworthy and pathetic. Ouch. :o :p

The majority of sightings are BS or misidentified, but how do you explain such multiple sightings such as the Phoenix lights? Tens of thousands of people witnessed a V shaped object 'that blocked out the stars'

The Rendlesham forest incident is also very strange, here's a recording that Colonel Halt made from the incident, you can also find several Government documents regarding this incident.

Radiation was found at the site.
