Hi! I was thinking of buying a gaming laptop. Unfortunately as I am travelling often, a desktop is not an option. My budget is £2000. I am looking at Alienware 17 R3 which is costing me £1900 at the moment with maxxed specs except the hard drive which is 512 SSD + 1TB. Anyone have any suggestions? Are the MSI/ASUS offerings better? I have never invested in high specced laptops other than a MacBook pro 2009 which has just started to die on me. Id appreciate your help.

I just got myself an Asus G751 and am very impressed with it. I'm a little miffed that I was unaware of the arrival of the G752 when I bought it, but meh - it's not spoiling my enjoyment.

I am sort in the same boat but only got £1600 and it's hard to pick from alienware, msi and asus :(

The MSI GT72S 6QE Dominator Pro G looks good at just over £1600 and the better versions around £1900+

Alienware seems cheaper all round I wonder why that is? I thought it was the more expensive due to the brand lol.
