My Alienware started to crash on a regular basis and as I have the patience of a toddler, I went and bought a gaming pc (from OC) to replace it. I have recently decided to look into reviving it and realised I have accidently recycled the power supply whilst taking some old monitors and gaming towers to the tip pre-lockdown.
My first question is does anyone know where I can source a new power supply? These seem to be pretty difficult to find online.
Secondly, someone mentioned the fact it is generally the nvidia chips that cause these to go, so I may need to replace the motherboard. Does anyone have experience with these? I did wonder if it was the thermal paste as it was getting pretty warm when crashing.
