Hi there

I am seriously considering the Alienware AW2725DF until I found out it has an internal fan. I run a near silent pc and really dont want fan noise from my monitor. Reviewers say its inaudible, can anyone confirm this please?

I am also looking at the MSI 271QPX 240hz which has passivle cooling, apart from the hz differece, would it be a downgrade from the Dell?

Thanks

Bit late replying but on the off chance it's still helpful - I had one for a month and used it daily. Zero audible noise coming from the monitor. For context I used it for work, and had my PC idle next to me. PC isn't deathly silent, but very quiet. I also had an AW3423DWF when they first came out, and had to send that back because of coil whine.

I can't speak to the difference between the 2 panels, but I've always had very positive experiences with Dell's support and ignoring any colour fringing on text issues, the reviews I watch spoke of it very highly. Only reason I returned it was becuase I wanted 1 bigger monitor with better resolution, which I'm already regretting :D

Thanks very much for your replay. I have since purchased a Gigabyte FO27Q3 which uses the same panel. All I can say is that its amazing. I also use it for work and can see any fringing on the text.
