Hi All,
I've just purchased an Alienware AW2725QF which is an exceptional monitor.
I have a question regarding the use of Dolby Vision.
If I launch a game that supports Dolby Vision, using RE4 as an example, the monitor auto-detects the game supports it and will apply it.
However, in RE4, there is a separate option for HDR which I can enable or disable and this does not change the monitor using Dolby Vision.
My question is if the monitor switches to Dolby Vision for a game, should I the disable the HDR option in-game?
I can't seem to find an answer.

Hope it is ok to ask you how is the monitor as i have had my eye on getting this one as i did not want a OLED and this screen looks right up my street ..

Thanks

Resident Evil 4 does not support DV on the PC it's the monitor which is automatically choosing DV for you which is why Alienware added a toggle to turn this feature off in the display menu.

I suggest you turn DV off as there are very few game that support it anyway and just set HDR to Peak 1000 or True black which ever your prefer and then run the windows HDR calibration app an follow what is says on screen and it will create a profile for windows.

Pressing the Windows key + ALT + B together will quickly toggle HDR on and off.

Make sure HDR is on in the games menu.
