how is this laptop for general useage and coding, and power hungry apps?

also hows the battery life on it and the quality of alienware, i gotta be fair it looks an amazin laptop but is it just looks or is the quality there to,

btw the specs of the one i was looking at is i5 or i7 4gb ram intel ssd 80gb

i got mine a few weeks back and im really happy with it. I went for the I7 and surfing you can get about 5 - 6 hours and gaming probably 3 ish. It is really well built and so far touch wood i havent had any problems.
No doubt you will get a few alienware haters saying dont do it but i think its a great buy and with discounts you can get one for £880 ish

I can't imagine coding on a screen that small would be particularly good or productive.

You could do far far better better for the money.

I think you could get a 15inch screen laptop which is more than capable for that money to be fair

how did you manage to get yours for around 800, the cheapest spec so far with an i7 i found is near 1100,

also the laptop would have to handle a few games so if anyone have better suggestions please feel free to comment,

just thought this laptop would be perfect for uni and that due to the size and performance

They had a special on it and then i used a discount code to knock the price down a bit more.
