Afternoon all,
I've owned this laptop around a month now and I've been fiddling with settings to try and get the GPU to run at PCI-e 4.0 x16
I've tried plugging in via HDMI and fiddled with the bios for dedicated GPU usage ect, but whatever I try it refuses to run at full link speed and only 4.0 x8
The specs are as follows
6800h 3070ti 32gb 4800mhz ddr5 165hz 1440p display,
Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but it appears no matter what resolution/settings I run at, it refuses to go about a set frame rate which leads me to believe the mux switch isn't being used? Or Nvidia Optimus?
Example, low settings 720p 90fps, max settings 720p 90fps. Even if I try 1440p at low and high it's still 90fps, I would assume a 3070ti would get higher frame rates than 90fps?
In a benchmark test on mw3 the CPU gets 190fps + but the GPU regardless of resolution and settings is 80fps average?
Any suggestions/information would be helpful,
