Alienware M17X R3 error, advice please! :3

I keep getting this error when I do a standard HDD check on Alien Autopsy.

I can't really pin point what the problem is exactly.

The drive is an Crucial C300-CTFDDAC064MAG and the OS runs flawlessly and I've never had any issues at all but every time I come back the laptop is hanging on this screen after trying to perform the test.

I've recently done a fresh format of Win7 as well and I'm pretty sure my drives were setup correctly via ATA before installing windows or should I have selected ACHI for an SSD?

This may well not be the best resolution, but I've had this in the past on an old laptop.

It was a case of switching the HDD device it was looking for to IHCI or something similar? Rebooting, then switching it back and all was OK.

Vague I know, but might be worth a punt!

I did some digging around and apparently my SSD's garbage collection was messed up and needed a firmware update, I left the laptop in bios over night for the SSD to sort itself out while in idle mode then tried the HDD check in Windows and it succeeded all tests, then I updated the firmware and all is well thankfully!
