Hey All
so I have an Alienware M18X r2 laptop with a pair of GF 675m's, had it for some time, and yes it is starting to get a little old now.... but I have always had a pretty good experience with most games even the newer ones.
Recently I was playing Ark, never had a problem in the past, but after the recent update and I found that my laptop was blackscreening, the GPU was hitting 70 degrees and would then blackscreen.... so I updated the graphics drivers.... then all hell broke loose...
Now all my games that were previously running fine are suffering from serious FPS loss.... I have used DDU to remove the drivers, installed old drivers and tested and then did the same and installed the most up to date. but the FPS loss is still there...
Another good example was I could play games and on a second monitor run a film, no slowdown, no issues... now..... serious degradation of quality and stuttering.
I have tried updating drivers, uninstalling drivers..... rebooting, fiddling with SLI settings and updating the BIOS.... I have run HWiNFO64 and set up the cooling profiles but the graphics cards dont seem overly taxed and the temps are all sitting in the 50 degrees mark, the fans are spinning too...
Utterly confused! any ideas?
