Hi everyone posted this in wrong section so reposting here , I seem to be here every 3 years or so for your great advice , I have had around 3 gaming laptops, 2 alienware and 1 hp, however I always end up selling them after a year or so once I am not using it as much however I have a itch to get one now and also my 10 year old son can play and use when goes to secondary school.

I am looking at alienware refurbished and looking at the alienware x14

Would this play the likes of total war pharoh and skyline City's 2 etc, I mainly play rts games and build games.
Currently £1092 then will get extra 14 percent off.

As long as playes rts games like total war warhammer 3 and pharaoh thats coming , and aoe 4 and all the latest games and build games like skyline cities and planet zoo etc for my son should be fine.

The 14inch is perfect as I have lack of space, you think this would play the tites on high graphics for good few years ?

Or any other recommendations ? Any help appreciated.

Thanks so much

I've got this same laptop for my kids, it's compact and has a USB-C charger, which is handy.

The GPU won't keep you playing games at high settings for a good few years, as it's only a 3060. My kids play Fortnite and Star Stable on it today, and it's fine. My plan is that they will move to cloud gaming which means the GPU becomes less relevant. There's a 6E Wi-Fi card in it, and it streams Fifa 23 via xcloud well. Warhammer III is also available on Geforce NOW, btw.

The NVMe is swappable, I put a 4TB drive in mine when they were/are going cheap on Amazon.

Will the 3060 run the likes of warhammer 3 and rts like that, and build games like skyline cities?

I used to have a hp pavilion with nvidia gtx 1660ti and that ran fine warhammer etc. Is the 3060 a more powerful gpu ?

Is gefore now a cloud gaming site as been away from PC gaming or gaming in general for couple years now. Just got the itch to play likes of total war and age if empires etc.

Thanks for help
